GULF OF MEXICO SITE SPECIFIC SUMMARY DATE: FRIDAY SEP 10 2010 TIME: 800 CDT GULF OF MEXICO SUMMARY: Light south to southeast winds are expected over the Gulf leases today and tomorrow as high pressure remains over the eastern US. High pressure will dominate over the weekend allowing light winds to persist. EXTENDED OUTLOOK: Models indicate another high to move east across the southeastern US early next week allowing for light east to southeast winds over the leases through the week. FORECAST CONFIDENCE: FAIR SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK: Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop across the Gulf today. Winds and seas will be higher in and around any of the heavier thunderstorms. TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK: Tropical Depression Igor is located near 16.0N 29.3W moving west at 11 knots. Please see the latest advisory. An area of disturbed weather persists near the Windward Islands and continues to produce showers and thunderstorms.
